Remember your loved one with a memorial in the Beautiful Birches Gardens

Our gardens are open 7 days a week; 365 days a year for you to visit and spend time remembering your loved one. We offer a variety of memorials throughout the grounds. If you wish to visit us for a tour and discussion of your options, please contact us to make an appointment to visit.

In common with all crematoria, memorials are provided for a fixed number of years (between 5 and 20). At the end of the lease, the memorial can either be renewed for another period, or you can choose to not renew. Any remains will not be disturbed but any plaque or stone may be removed.
Bespoke memorials can be provided, please contact us to discuss designs and prices.

A memorial commemoration can be arranged to meet your needs. We can accommodate gatherings while ashes are scattered or interred or a memorial is placed in the gardens. You can even choose to have tea and coffee before or afterwards and should you wish, you can say a few words or have a short service at the time. The prices below include the scattering/interment, the memorial itself and any gathering you may wish to have.

Rose Garden

  • Choose from a variety of difference roses and have your loved one’s ashes loosely scattered beneath the Earth alongside a plaque.

Birch Trees

  • Individual birch trees planted in a grove amongst the gardens. Ashes can be scattered or interred alongside an engraved memorial boulder.

  • 10 or 20 year leases available

Corten Steel Sculptures

  • Designed and sculpted by a local Northwich artists, these Corten steel sculptures are a striking part of the landscape and come with a plaque and the ability to have ashes placed inside the sculpture itself.

  • Due to the prominent and individual nature of these sculptures, a 20 year lease is the minimum level.

  • Small Sculpture - £3,000
    Large Sculpture - £3,500

Private Gardens

  • An individually designed section of garden with an engraved boulder where your loved one’s ashes can be interred.

  • Due to the bespoke nature of the private gardens, they are available for a 20 year lease only.

Pond Boulders

  • Individually engraved boulders placed alongside the path facing the duck pond. Ashes can be interred beneath the stones.

Wildflower Meadow Scatterings

  • Around an acre of our gardens are filled with beautiful wildflowers over the Spring and Summer.
    Ashes can be scattered here freely amongst nature. Please note, due to the natural state of this area, memorials cannot be placed in this part of the gardens.

  • Ashes can be scattered free of charge on weekdays if the cremation took place at Birches Crematorium. Weekends are available for a charge of £70.
    If the cremation did not take place at Birches, a charge of £85 is applicable.

Willow Trees

  • Individual willow trees where ashes can be interred alongside an engraved memorial boulder

Shrub Garden Scatterings

  • Ashes scattered amongst our communal shrub garden with an individually inscribed boulder placed around the edges of the bed.
